The Nature Conservancy and Nature Rocks have produced a set of Valentine’s Cards that appeal to kids’ wild side. Aside from a Valentine’s greeting, each card has a fun activity to challenge each recipient to get outside and explore nature. A growing body of evidence shows that kids who spend time outdoors are happier, healthier and smarter than kids who don’t get out.

   
Nominations are now being accepted for the Environmental Education Alliance (EEA) of Georgia awards recognizing exceptional contributions to environmental education. The deadline to submit nominations is February 14, 2012.

   
The Georgia Green Ribbon Schools committee will select up to four schools to be recognized at a ceremony at the State Capitol and also be nominated for national recognition. Applications are due by February 24, 2012.

   
Online Registration for the Georgia Organics Annual Conference and Farm to School Summit remains open until February 17, 2012. A limited number of Farm to School Summit scholarships are still available for farm to school stakeholders (teachers, school nutrition staff, and other champions).

   
The annual Environmental Education Alliance (EEA) of Georgia conference will be held at the Southwest Arts Center located in south Fulton County on March 30-31, 2012. Register by March 1, 2012 to receive the earlybird discount.
