Stephen C. Foster State Park is one of the primary entrances to the Okefenokee Swamp. Moss-laced cypress trees reflect off the black swamp waters, providing breathtaking scenery. Activities include guided tours, boating, fishing, wildlife viewing and organized educational programs.

Mission
The mission of the Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Division is to be keeper and steward of the State's parks and historic sites, and to protect, manage and preserve this heritage for the interpretation, recreation, enjoyment and enrichment of the citizens of Georgia and our guests from outside Georgia; to assist local governments in the acquisition and preservatoin of public recreation lands by providing technical and financial assistance; and to assist in and encourage the preservation of Georgia's significant historic properties through their identification, evaluation and protection.

Additional
All group programs must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance; for spring trips schedule several months in advance. Group size may be limited by activity chosen (call park for details).
