Burton 4-H Center

Events The Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island (formerly known as the Tybee Island 4-H Center) is operated by the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service. Of the five 4-H facilities throughout the state, the Burton Island 4-H Center is the smallest, but still serves approximately 6,000 students and adults every year.

The Burton 4-H Center provides biology and environmental education opportunities for school groups and its summer camp provides Georgia 4-H agents and campers an unforgettable five-day learning adventure. One of its most popular programs is a three-day, two-night field study that includes seven classes. If a long trip is not feasible, various day programs are also offered.

All programs meet the Georgia Performance Standards, so each day here is considered a day in school and no classroom time is lost.
